Another marsh area at Deerfield Park. As you can probably imagine, this area is alive with geese, ducks, coots, blackbirds and warblers.

Rog: How many of us take the birds we see everyday for granted? I did, until last year. My wife made a suggestion that we get a bird feeder and hang it on the deck. Having an interest in photography for many years, I thought I'd pick up the camera and give bird photography a try. Once I viewed the pictures of the birds on my computer I was astonished by the incredible detail in the coloring and layering of the feathers on these birds. But I won't stop there. For me, I have just as much fun watching the behavior of the birds. I promise, if you sit and just watch their behavior, you'll laugh. They can be comedians and acrobats. If you haven't spent any time with the birds in your backyard, I urge you to give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are indeed small miracles of our Creator. I for one will not take any bird for granted any more. I hope that perhaps looking at these pictures will inspire you to have a greater appreciation for what you see and probably take for granted.
